1. CO: What school will you study in the US?
- Student: I will study at Cumberland Christian Academy
2. CO: How do you know this school?
- Student: I have a friend who is studying this school. She has just came back to Vietnam to enjoy Summer Vacation
3. CO: How long will you study in U.S?
- Student: I will spend 2 years to finish high school program.
(Student stopped talking. CO asked: Just 2 years?)
- Student: Then, I’ll try my best to apply for university and study about 4 years. After that, I’ll come back to Vietnam and help my family to do business
4. CO: Please tell me about your family?
- Student: There are 6 people in my family. My parents, 3 younger sisters and me…
(CO interrupted and asked)
5. CO: What do your parents do?
- Student: My mother is a chief accountant and my father is a manager of My Khanh Vy Co., Ltd. Every month, they can get over 95,000,000 VND
6. CO: Can you describe their work?
The student requested to speak Vietnamese => CO did not allow and pointed at the student, requested her to ask her mother; her mother answered in Vietnamese: “Collect and purchase slices of manioc and then sell to fodder companies” and CO asked the student to translate into English.
- Student: Can be like: the company sells food for chickens and pigs
CO (Smiled)
- Student: So sorry! LOL
CO: Oh no, that’s good! LOL
CO: Showed a white sheet (An instruction sheet of study abroad orientation workshop for students who are going to enter a school in Fall 2017 at Consulate) Because it was a white sheet instead of a pink sheet as usual, the student thought she was refused. CO collected Passport but did not give a long pink sheet and a green sheet as usual.
- Student: She thought she was failed so she looked askance at CO and did not say thanks. Her mother reminded her and said Thank you
Note: The parent has failed Travel Visa twice but it does not affect study abroad document.
Result: PASSED
